Certified, well-managed orchards
Farms follow GlobalG.A.P guidelines, drip irrigation, soil analysis, and integrated pest management to keep fruit safe and consistent.
QUALITY & PROCESS
At Houd El Nile, quality is designed into the process—not inspected at the end. From GlobalG.A.P-certified farms to refrigerated containers, every step is tracked, checked, and documented for export markets.

GROWING & HARVEST
Our citrus and fruit are grown on carefully selected Egyptian farms, with practices designed for export markets—not just local sales.
Farms follow GlobalG.A.P guidelines, drip irrigation, soil analysis, and integrated pest management to keep fruit safe and consistent.
We plant the varieties and rootstocks requested by our partners and group orchards by size and color to build uniform shipments.
Fruit is hand-picked based on Brix, color, and pressure tests, then moved to the packinghouse within a strict time window.
STEP 1
Fruit is received, visually inspected, and pre-cooled when required before it enters the packing process.

STEP 2
Production lines wash and sanitize the fruit, apply food-grade wax when needed, and grade by size and external quality.

STEP 3
Cartons and formats are packed to customer specifications: weight, count, labeling, and GS1 traceability codes.

STEP 4
QC teams verify packed cartons, apply pallet IDs and traceability labels, then wrap and secure pallets for loading.

COLD CHAIN & LOGISTICS
Temperature control starts at the packinghouse and continues until your container is released at the port. We monitor every stage to protect shelf life.
Pre-cooling is applied based on customer request and product need, typically 6–12 hours at 0–1°C with setpoints tailored by commodity.
Packed cartons are kept in cold rooms under product-specific temperature and humidity targets until loading.
Reefer containers are loaded at the moment product exits cold storage to avoid temperature breaks, and sealed under supervision.
Data loggers are placed in all shipments, and reports can be shared alongside export documents and shipment details.
QUALITY STANDARDS
Our quality system combines Egyptian export rules with the requirements of European, Russian, and Middle Eastern retailers. Residue limits, packaging rules, and social standards are built into our daily routines.
QUALITY & CERTIFICATIONS
Houd El Nile operates under recognized food safety and farming systems aligned with export market requirements.
Our farms and packing facilities follow documented controls and are audited to meet buyer and retailer expectations.
